3701. Form follows fiction
How did fictional representations of the internet shape what the internet has developed into? What examples of depictions of cyberspace/networked computers/etc. can we find from before the internet existed, how have they been changed in the "real" internet? 3774. What might be missing??
In the mid-20th Century it was demonstrated that if you linked aged and young rats blood systems, the aged rats got younger and the young ones aged. Only within the past year has any real attempt been made to follow up. Was Heinlein right? Is there a health/wealth/intelligence ("limitless?") elite? Where's my pass? This paragraph was never written.
Steve Barnes, E.E. King
